Andy Hong
partner
Andy Hong brings to the firm a deep understanding of the user's experience of an architectural work. To him, the concept of 'use' is multifaceted. First, a building plan is not merely seen as a passive artifact, but as an active agent in solving a client's particular user-needs. Secondly, the actual involvement of the client in planning a project is seen as a crucial user experience: by emphasizing collaboration, Andy organizes strategies through which SsD can most effectively implement a client's objectives.
Having received a Master of Science at the MIT Media Lab, Andy is also co-founder of the Amsterdam based software firm Fredhopper and co-founder of the independent music label Kimchee Records. He is also the Founding Engineer for Art Technology Group (ATG), and the founder of the User Experience Team at Reed Elsevier Technology Group.
