'Rough and ready' – although I like your 'Refined and Polished' like your white museum, its this kind of stuff that I can imagine living in. great interiors and love how it matches the barn while being different.

That is right on. astute reading to the 9th degree. the trees will also become part of the infra-environmental system, shading the glazed areas during the summer when they bloom…

Digging how the trees, from afar, visually become the interest in otherwise un-ornamented facade. Likewise, the interior:exterior dimensional illusions SsD likes to explore has reached it’s apex w/ infra~luminous window fade treatment.

I just made the connection – single speed is SsD! duh… I thought I was following the work of 2 different firms!… I have to admit there is a marked difference in the aesthetics before and after your young architect’s award. it seems you started with wood and massive like the big dig and you’re now moving to light and white. just an observation that makes me wonder… maybe its when you started using the initials? or maybe too much late night hypothesizing on my part.

this book is dubious. what do all these have in common and what’s with this name ‘spacecraft’. I mean some of these are super expensive, others just huts, what can we really learn from this? Not really commenting on your project – it seems ok… in fact i looked it up after buying this book as it stood out as not just another overpriced pavilion.

This is a prime example of how an old building can become a community anchor. It was sitting vacant for so long and it is a relief and benefit to the neighborhood to see all the activity. In fact I think it could be more active with more events in the big space. I know the cafe has been in the works, but this would really finish out the building nicely. A place to sit, talk and meet…
