East Hampton Residence
East Hampton, NY | 2003

Inspired by its historical surrounds as well as the modern lifestyle of the clients, the design of this 5-acre oceanside site required both a studied look into its past as well as a careful engineering of its future. The main 7,000 sf house maximizes oceanfront views while maintaining a deferential relationship to the landscape. By also restoring sensitive dune areas and introducing connective pedestrian paths, new site elements including a pool / poolhouse and accessory buildings are brought into consonance with the natural topography.
