almost every room (including spaces on upper floors) have immediate access to an outdoor space

Hurley Place
Cambridge, MA | 2004
[Boston Globe's 'House of the Week']

This 6-unit complex merges 3 new structures and an existing building into a siteplan that optimizes open space, light, and air, while creating a sense of community. Tight zoning limitations are turned into opportunities to incorporate cantilevered living spaces and upper level outdoor rooms. The flow of the interior spaces combines the openness of loft living with the intimacy of the smaller scale fabric found in the neighborhood.
